Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is an effective painless substitute to laser treatments. This procedure does not require anesthesia, recuperation time, it is relatively painless, and is effective for all skin types.
Microdermabrasion is a non-surgical procedure used to remove the outermost layer of skin to reveal younger, firmer skin under damaged skin. This procedure removes the layer of skin cells known as the stratum corneum and stimulates cell growth in the underlying dermis. Microdermabrasion is a mechanical form of exfoliation that uses a powerful vacuum in conjunction with either abrasive diamond impregnated pads or a spray of microcrystals applied to the skin’s surface.
Microdermabrasion helps give a smoother, fresher appearance to the skin. It is also used to diminish the appearance of sun damage, fine lines and wrinkles, enlarged pores, and coarse-textured skin. With the removal of the dead cell layer, the skin is given better definition with a resulting improvement in overall skin complexion.
Microdermabrasion treatments in many cases are especially beneficial in the reduction and appearance of scars. One important aspect of this procedure is that it does not carry serious risks and is relatively safe. No anesthesia is required and the results are visible within the first few treatments.
Facial Treatments:
Facial treatments start with an advanced skin analysis performed by our aesthetician, This analysis will allow us to develop a specific treatment strategy to meet the needs of the patient since each person has different facial treatment goals. For example some patients have signs of dehydration, rosacea, clogged pores, oil and bacteria, or sensitive skin. Our full-service facial process will address all of these concerns and more. There are many different products and serums which will be used to give the face the attention that it deserves. Equally as important are the “at home” treatments which will be reviewed with the patient at the conclusion of their facial treatment. Facial treatments are oftentimes combined with other services such as ultrasonic treatment, electrophoresis, LED photo-rejuvenation, and injection therapy.
Hair & Scalp Treatments:
We offer a variety of corrective therapies for various conditions of the scalp and hair, or to preserve hair implants. The hair and scalp need to be noursihed, revitalized, and strengthened. Without a healthy scalp you can't stimulate healthy hair growth. We offer treatments which are highly beneficial for thinning hair, chemically treated or damaged hair, and many scalp disorders (dandruff, oily scalp, dry scalp, acne, psoriasis). Home care follow-up treatments and products are also offered based upon the specific indications. Please note that you should not wash your hair for 24 hours prior to your scalp consultation.
Skin Peels:
Skin peels rejuvenate the skin on the face, neck and décolleté improving fine wrinkles, blemishes, skin pigmentation problems and acne. Peels accomplish this by exfoliating the superficial dead skin layers and stimulating collagen production. There are many different types of peels from using mild chemical exfoliants or may include natural products which can be found in various fruits and vegetables. We recommend that patients undergo a series of several light peels to achieve their desired results, thereby eliminating any downtime. It is critically important as with all other skin treatments to avoid the sun. Post treatment products are commonly recommended after active treatment to maintain the treatment results. Peels are also oftentimes combined with other in office treatments such as the application of serums with phono or electrophoresis. It is important to know that patients with darker skin types may have light peels without any difficulty.
